Like most other human beings, I often want something when I am able to have it least; sun on a day off, snowboarding in June, and Cinna-bon.......ever. As the weather in new york city lately has been, shall we say it, hellish, both literally and figuratively, I am of course craving thick, heavy, luxurious furs. August means fall/winter magazines are rolling onto newsstands, and the fantastic cold-weather items that go along with them are endlessly tempting my mind, closet and wallet. While it may be a tad early for fur; although office a.c. leads me to think otherwise; feathers can be worn any time of year, in a heatwave or snowstorm; and the fringe I'm just throwing in for good measure.
Feathers, fringe, fur, its all good and its all in for fall/winter 2009, whether its on your feet, body or head, load it up and rock it out. The only rule is there are no rules, and I hope you like red paint; just in case.
It is quite sad, but true that the only reason I'm excited for winter is to wear my paris-purchased fur vest; and maybe the return to hot coffee. Maybe.
