Book Report: WHO WHAT WEAR; Celebrity and Runway Style for Real Life.

Most people who know me, know that I don't often go out of my way to do more work than necessary. But when it comes to fashion-related reading material, I simply must have it all, evidenced by the embarrassingly large assortment of magazines I subscribe to. But beyond the magazines, I find myself purchasing style and fashion books as well. While some are useful for a once through, and then stay on the shelf, a recent purchase of mine puts many others to shame. Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power are the style gurus behind the website whowhatwear.com, and have recently published a book, WHO WHAT WEAR; Celebrity and Runway Style for Real Life, sharing their knowledge and advice with us commoners.

The bible, err... book, describes in detail how to formulate your own style, taking cues from successful celebrity dressers, runway looks, and your own personality. By reading said book, you will also learn how to interpret a runway look into a real world style, what trends to invest in, and how to dress for your body type. The lovely ladies go above and beyond, detailing how to organize your closet for maximum outfit potential, and frequently asked style questions, such as the best way to wear a belt, and the secret to vintage shopping.

All in all, this book is a great investment for any woman looking to further her own personal style and make the most out of her wardrobe. With their casual tone, and easy writing style, Kerr and Power are two girls after my own heart, and I must admit, they inspired me to start this blog. If you somewhat enjoy my writing, I gonna go out on a limb and assume you'll become a fan of theirs as well. So I suggest you get yourself a copy, and check out their website for daily whowhatwear tips, suggestions and trends.

Happy reading!
