We had wonderful weather on Friday this week with temperatures around 70 in New York City. While it was a little cloudy with some showers during the day, things cleared up after 5pm. We took a stroll over to Stuyvesent Park and then up to Gramercy Park to enjoy the warm early evening. While the trees are still pretty barren the flowers were starting to come out in the parks.
At Gramercy Park the dogwood trees were blooming, which are some of my favorites. I'm not in DC this spring to see the beautiful cherry blossoms unlike the past two years while I was there for business school. So I'm living vicariously through all the posts I am seeing on social media right now! If you ever have a chance to see the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin in DC you absolutely should. It is so, so beautiful. We saw tons of brides and grooms getting their photos taken, even a few proposals.
I got these joggers a few years ago from Old Navy and they are such a great wardrobe staple. They work just as well lounging around the house as they do dressed up for public wear. You can find similar options just about anywhere these days and at a variety of price points. My Old Navy ones were pretty cheap and have stood the test of time over a few seasons!
This shirt I bought while in Barcelona last spring and it is easily one of my favorites in my wardrobe. I love how simple yet unique it is and have worn it with skirts and pants on many occasions.
Happy Sunday, sending good vibes for the week ahead!
I really love this look! The flowy vibe is great :)

Thank you Maggie! Still working on getting back into summer shape, so the flowy layers are key!
DeleteLove those pants. I have some that look similar but they're more or a sweatshirt (or sweatpant, I guess!) material but I love how yours are kind of silky. Very chic!
ReplyDeleteThanks Whitney! They are so comfortable, I'm always looking for ways to wear athleisure in a socially acceptable way :)
DeleteSuch a cute blouse and it looks beautiful where you are! xo, Erin - www.stylebythepeople.com
ReplyDeleteThanks Erin! Not as nice as the West Coast probably, but hopefully New York gets some more spring weather soon!
