A few months ago I bought a pair of red heels from Forever 21 with the intention of turning them into a special pair of my own with ruffled silk rosettes. I had done a similar technique before and wanted to revisit for a new pair of shoes. While I knew what I was doing, I wanted to test the technique on a cheap pair of shoes rather than a pricey pair. After initially posting about the shoes here, I finally got around to actually wearing them!
For whatever reason, my cat has been attracted to the laces on these shoes. I left them out one day and she proceeded to chew off literally all of the laces! I can't really blame the girl for having good taste, but man, that was a bummer. Luckily I was able to do some rehab and keep them wear-able, albeit in less than perfect condition.
Jeff took me out to dinner for my birthday at The Little Owl, a quaint restaurant in the West Village I have been wanting to try for awhile. It was a perfect time to break out these crazy shoes. After dinner we went to see Something Rotten while was amazing, worth seeing if you're looking for a Broadway show! I didn't plan on taking any pictures this night, so the dim evening light and my phone camera did not garner the greatest images but I thought these shoes deserved a post.
