First off, I want to preface this segment with some what-not-to-wear items for class/going out at night. There is a time and place for everything, and sweatpants and mesh shorts are to be worn solely to the gym, at your house errr, I think that's it. Throw on some jeans, it's just as easy. Slipper-esque shoes as well, please don't bring them outside. Oh, and I saw a guy in my class earlier with a camo shirt on. Yea.
So here we go:
From the top down:Jackets: Rather than wearing a lame North Face fleece once it gets cooler, reach for a motorcycle-inspired jacket, or utility style coat. Both of these jackets are casual enough to wear to class, while can also work at night, on a date, whatever. Comfy, warm, not trying to hard. Done. On the top right, I had to throw in another cardigan cause I'm still the no. 1 cheerleader for them. Get one, and I'll love you.
Shoes: Its still warm, so flip flops are fine, I mean whatever. But as fall approaches, its time for closed toe options. Running sneakers from the gym: please no. High top/colored/funky options are much appreciated. The white and the khaki/green ones high top sneakers above both provide comfort and you wear them with just jeans and a hanes tee and still look hot. Leather options such as two brown guys above are simple, casual, and can easily be dressed up for dinner with parents, a girlfriend, what have you. All of these shoes I would recommend for both day and night. Just don't show up at a bar in New Balance running shoes, or I might ignore you.
Tees/Shirts: As I have preached before, the fit of men's clothing makes an extremely enormous difference. Both tee shirts on the bottom left work well with anything and everything, and work for day or night. Plain or with a graphic, just make sure they are your size. If you need an example, both of these tee shirts fit the guys wearing them to a t. HA.
Always in style, the button down shirt. Wear it untucked, tucked slightly, however you like. Update it a bit with one in a different fabric than your typical version. Plaid, check, solid, many options work here. Roll up the sleeves for a laid back casual look. Still with me guys? It's not too hard.
So there you have it. I tried to keep that somewhat short and sweet. I hope the pictures help, all are perfect examples of how your clothing (pants and shirts) should be fitting. And all the items pictured I would tell any guy to wear day or night. AAAANNNND, all the items are from Urban Outfitters, which just opened in the commons! So you can go tonight and buy them all, just in time for long islands at Dunbars. Maybe if I give them enough business I'll get a discount. Couldn't hurt.
