I don't consider myself to be a slave to trends (too often), but some come along and I just cannot resist; jazzed up jeans being next on the list. Printed denim has been everywhere, and I mean everywhere lately, showing up on pants as well as shorts.

Seeing as I have had a lot of extra free time on my hands lately, I figured it was time to get a little crafty. I dug out one of my multiple pairs of denim shorts that I didn't feel particularly attached to, and painted on my own floral pattern.
I took my color cues from Citizens of Humanity's Chloe Floral Cutoff Shorts, and used acrylic paints.
While I have some back pains from doing this on my bedroom floor, the results are bright and fun for springtime; and it came at quite the discount from the $172 for the Citizens pair.
tah-dah!

Up next: I've been toying with the idea of some embroidered jorts...
