Madrid, Spain

Madrid was my first stop in Spain and it was lovely. Lots of personality without the crazy hustle and bustle of a big city.

The plaza outside our hotel was filled with performers in crazy positions with the help of hidden poles. You can see in the picture above the man on top is meant to be ‘floating’ above the man on the bottom.

Fresh sea urchins for sale.
These are fish that they shred up into tiny slivers then serve on toasts! I should have tried one but I was a little too scared haha.

This indoor market had all the most amazing foods to buy and eat right there. You could also get drinks and walk around with them, which we did with some sangria.
