To celebrate Valentine’s Day this year Jeff and I headed to brunch at Maialino, at The Gramercy Park Hotel. As opposed to last year when we were living in different cities, this year we are not only both living in NYC, we just moved in together a few days prior!
Maialino is an adorable Italian trattoria that had been recommended to us by a friend and the brunch did not disappoint. We shared the Banana Loaf & Maple Nut Butter to start, which was out of this world. I had the Frittata Bianca and Jeff had the Pork Hash for our entrees, both were delicious, complimented by the house bloody marys and crispy fingerling potatoes.
After our meal we wandered in to the Rose Bar, which unfortunately was closed on Sunday, but that didn’t stop us from taking a few pics - the setting was too perfect for Valentine’s Day. It’s on our list to come back for a proper cocktail sometime soon!
With the weather so cold this weekend it was the perfect excuse to break out my fur vest I purchased while studying abroad in Paris while in college.
After a visit to Sally Hershberger on saturday my hair is a touch blonder than before, I like brightening things up in the winter.
