Don't get me wrong, I definitely understand the notion of investing in quality clothing items. The luxurious fabric, the craftsmanship, the name brand; expensive clothes are can be worth the money. After lusting for Equipment's silk blouses for a long time now, I decided to try my hand at making my own version. I've sewn some button down tops in my day, how hard can it be? With a store-bought pattern, actually not that hard.
I decided to go for a fun polkadot print for my first attempt, taking a nod from an Equipment blouse currently in my closet. While it was not a quick project, making my own blouse allows for not only uniqueness, but keeps some money in my pocket.
Now that I have the top completed, this is how I'd style it!
