We were up early on Saturday and took advantage of the opportunity to go to brunch at one of our favorite East Village restaurants, Mud, before the crowds got too bad. Gingham is everywhere right now so I pulled out my black gingham shorts for an easy, casual look.
I designed and made these shorts a couple years ago, I love the knotted ties on the sides and how the black and white fabric goes with everything. Wearing one of my own designs and getting into the designer mindset was perfect for our post-brunch trip to Mood Fabrics. I have a few designs I am working on and needed some fabric for their creation. Textured white silk, gingham and eyelet are all in the mix...Stay tuned for some more details coming up!
